PJMCC Golf Friendship Game 2012, at Their Swinging Best

The Philippine-Japan Manning Consultative Council (PJMCC) recently held the PJMCC Golf Friendship Game 2012 last July 6, 2012 at the Alabang Golf and Country Club, Ayala-Alabang Village, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila. 

A total of 60 participants took to the greens for this annual golf tournament.  Participating were players from the PJMCC member agencies, Japanese guests, representatives from Associated Marine Officers’ and Seamen’s Union of the Philippines (AMOSUP), All Japan Seaman’s Union (JSU) and the International Mariners Management Association of Japan (IMMAJ).

The Ceremonial Tee-Off was held at 0700h with former IMMAJ Chairman, Mr. Youji Fujisawa leading the way.  Incumbent IMMAJ Chairman, Mr. Tsutomu Iizuka then followed.  PJMCC Vice-President Capt. Teodoro B. Quijano was next and followed by former IMMAJ Directors, Mr. Masaaki Kobayashi and Mr. Nobuo Kayahara.  AMOSUP President, Dr. Conrado F. Oca, PJMCC Secretary, Capt. Emmanuel L. Regio and PJMCC President, Mr. Eduardo U. Manese took their turns to formally open the friendship tournament.

After the last player had submitted his score, lunch was served at Ballroom B of the clubhouse at 1300h.  After which Capt. Juanito G. Salvatierra, Jr. and Capt. Dever C. Besana took over as Masters of Ceremonies for the Awarding Ceremony.  Raffle prizes, awards and entertainment were held making this golf tournament memorable.  The event also strengthened the friendship and camaraderie among the Philippine - Japan maritime community.
